Hogu, hadu and I spent a lovely morning with friends Alice and Thelonious at golden gate park. We were greeted by goose poo and fog reminiscent of our lake house on Old Trace growing up. A picnic snack feast and a wooded 'circuit' that the boys could run where they would go just out of sight before turning back towards us was all we needed for a real adventure. Afterwards, lunch of Arizmendi pizza outside where you can watch the N Judah train (and mask any screaming meltdowns with traffic noise) was in order. But mommy's big mistake of the day was not arranging a train ride back to the car. No amount of explaining that the tracks didn't take us to our car made it better. Our final solution: sketched plans for a city-wide car-carrying train, to stop at our house, the park, preschool, and 'that house over there'. The name of our mass transit spectacular: the space shuttle.
